Visit from Eva!

My parents friends, Will and Maria, came to visit from Atlanta and brought their new baby girl, Eva, with them. I tried very hard to share nicely but I wasn't super keen on her playing with my toys. Everyone kept saying I was in for a rude awakening come Nov. What happens in Nov?

Its been awhile!

All is well in my life but I guess Mom has been too busy to post lately. I am pulling up on EVERYTHING which results in a few bumps and bruises and a couple bloody lips but I am enjoying the freedom. I have also mastered going up the steps but still working on a safe way to go back down.

I get milk in the morning but I don't like to wait till daycare to get my real breakfast so i crawl up on Daddy and make him share his. :)

Momma at 29 weeks (she is almost 32 now). She is losing lap space quick!

15/18 month check up!

27lbs - 75% - same weight as he was at one year. We def thought he was heavier than this or maybe he just feels heavier because I am 28 weeks preggo (not sure what Eric's excuse is:))

Edited: He was actually almost 28lbs at 1 year so he loss a little. :)

length 32" - 50% - need to check to see what he was at one year

Edited - he was 30" at 1 year so he is getting longer and leaner

So he may look and feel like a big boy but he is really just average.

Gavin was very cooperative for his Dr and nurse, much more than he is for mommy during diaper changes. :) He lied still for them when they needed him to and gave them smiles. Everything checked out fine except there is a little concern about his hips and to just double check that that is not why he is not walking, we need to get G a hip x-ray. How do you do an xray on a 16 month old? I guess we'll find out soon.

Hip xray came back fine (and Gavin was great and lied completely still for the 2 pics they took) so it appears Gavin just figured out how to crawl in his odd little way which resulted in some unevenness in his muscles (left leg weaker). His physical therapist will start working with him more regularly next Tues (8-25-09).

Vacation in NC at Rumbling Bald Resort, Lake Lure

I got to go on vacation with Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Heather, Uncle Mike, and my cousins, Mitchell and Brendon. I had a great time! I got to hiking for the first time in Mount Chimney National Park and got to go swimming in the lake. Also, I mastered pulling up to standing and had lots of fun playing with my cousins.
