Tummy time!

Gavin is getting so much better at tummy time without the boppy, especially when there is something interesting in front of him. That is his new stack and play elephant that Grandma Weber gave him - he loves the lights!

Dude, mommy takes too many close ups! I am going to be blind by age 3!

Cutie Bathtime Baby!

On my way to the bath!

This is my fun blow up duck tub. I grew out my other tub real quick but this one works great. Much more comfy than the hard plastic tub. And if you squeeze the beak - it quacks!
Getting dried off in my crocodile towel.

Out to a fancy dinner!

We all went out to dinner with the Grandparents who helped take care of Gavin all summer. Its was a pretty fancy place so we put Gavin is his best onsie (which had a collar) and he was very well behaved.

Finally started a blog!

I am finally starting a blog for Gavin. It will make it easier for everyone to see him grow and will also help mommy remember what happened when. :)

One of Gavin's new things is sticking out his tongue a lot and Grandma Laird got it on camera.

Its all muscles ladies! ;)

This playin thing is tiring.

Gavin was in the middle of playing with his skish and I looked over and he had fallen asleep but hadn't let go of the toy yet.

Fun diaper changes

Gavin started smiling and laughing during a diaper change today so I tried to get it on camera. As you can see in the third picture, Gavin saw the camera and immediately stopped smiling, laughing, and all signs of happiness.

Mirror

Gavin is getting much better at sitting up (with support) and he really likes his mirror. He doesn't really seem to look into the mirror much but he loves the bugs along the sides of it.

Solids

We started Gavin on solids and so far so good. We have tried rice cereal, green beans, and carrots. Gavin really likes all of them and is all smiles during meal time. Getting the smiles these days is easy, its catching them on camara which is hard.

We've also tried cucumbers too!

Wedding - August 16

Eric and Michelle attended Maura's wedding on Aug 16. It was the first time leaving Gavin for this long and the first time someone other than mommy or daddy put him to bed. He hung out all day with Grandma Weber and did great!

Start them early!

We try to read to Gavin each day but he has taken a liking to his "Peace" book. You prop him up on his boppy and he is happy looking at all the bright colored pictures and studies each page while mommy gets dressed in the morning.

Great Uncle Don and Great Aunt Sharon came to visit from NY and had a nice little BBQ but Mommy forgot to take pictures. Doh! But here is one of Grandma Weber admiring my cuteness! :)

Roadtrip Part 2 - Atlanta

Our friends, Will and Maria, live in a suburb of Atlanta and we finally made it down for a visit.
Gavin thinks Daddy is pretty funny!
All of us outside the CNN studios

Trip to Nashville and Atlanta - Part 1 Nashville

We took a long road trip to visit friends in Nashville (Kayte, Kevin, and baby Madelyn Bittorie) and in Atlanta (Will and Maria). Overall Gavin did awesome - we had a few break downs here and there but he was always good when we needed him to be like on a walking tour of CNN studios and during 4D shows at the Coca Cola factory. We had great time and it was nice to see our friends!

Taking a nap in the hotel before getting back on the road.

How long are we gone for? A long weekend or a few months?? I think we packed enough stuff.
During a stop at Ruby Tues, Gavin was getting a kick out of the dragon that is attached to his carseat. You squeeze its tummy and it goes "blah"!

Playing with Madelyn on her playmat.

Still loving that dragon!
