What a day!!
Yesterday evening and night, Gavin was not doing well. Very fussy, crying a lot, and had a lot of trouble sleeping. We figured it was due to the extreme stuffy/runny nose he had but when he woke up Sunday morning, he had all this yucky yellow stuff coming out of his right ear. After doing a little online research, we found out that he probably had a ruptured ear drum. We took him to a Patient First because there are not too many places open on Sunday. They said there was damage but that we needed to see a specialist and told us to go to Howard County since they have an emergency center just for kids. So we went to the ER and the very nice doctor got him all cleaned up. He did rupture his ear drum but they said it will heal just fine. He had to get 2 shots worth of antibiotics and also got a prescription. It was quite a long day between Patient Frist, the ER, and getting the prescription too and Gavin was pretty sleepy the rest of the day. But he is a tough little guy -even with all this he was still smiling and laughing for us.
