My first Raven's game!

Gavin got to watch his first Raven's game today and fortunately they won! Yay! Gavin got all decked out in his best Raven's gear to cheer for his fav team. We went to our friend's , Steve and Beth, house where there is always good food and good fun to be had.

Steve and Beth have a daughter named Katie who was very gratious to let Gavin try her exersaucer and now having tried out 2, we definitely will be purchasing one for Gavin. He really liked it!

Gavin also got to meet Mommy's and Daddy's friends, Aaron and Angie, and their son, Will (~17months). We don't have any pics of it but Gavin thought Angie was an absolute riot - he was laughing up a storm. Below is a pic of Aaron, Will, and Eric which was actually taken by Steve/Beth's daughter, Katie, who is about 2.5. Future photographer?? :)

Visit to the Bushars - Microbabies Part 2

We went over to Nick and Christi's for a yummy dinner on Sat. Nick is also part of the micro/immuno dept at school and he and Christi have 2 kids. Claire is 2 years 4 months and Matthew is 3 months.

Claire teaching Gavin the ins and outs of her old exersaucer.

Mommies, babies, and a Daddy

Matthew and Gavin chillin on the couch.

Claire, Matthew, and Gavin all thrilled to have their picture taken.

Napping with Daddy!

Gavin had a pretty rough week at daycare that didn't include as many as usual and Daddy went for a long hike on Friday with his friend, Will, so they were both really tuckered out on Sat and took 2 naps together. Here are pics from one of them. So cute!

Added professional pics to May post

Finally got back the pics we had taken of Gavin at 10 weeks. They were done by the photographer who did our wedding. Gavin was asleep or unhappy during most of them but hey, we tried.

Gavin starts real daycare! :(

Since Michelle went back to work at the end of May, Gavin has been taken care of by his Grandpa/Grandma Laird and his Grandma Weber but today we had to start him in real daycare. Michelle cried the whole time while dropping him off but at least G gave her a smile as she was leaving. She is now trying to get her work done ASAP so she can go pick him up early but until then she definitely will be calling.

Update after Day 1:

We all had a rough first day. Mommy cried a lot and Gavin was pretty fussy. He didn't really sleep at all at daycare and when mommy went to pick him up, he was looking pretty delirious then as soon as mommy pulled him out of the carseat when they got home, he IMMEDIATELY fell asleep on her chest. Poor little guy! And even after a 2 hr nap, he still wasn't really awake, and sleep hard all night long.

Gavin still wanted to sleep when we tried to feed him dinner. :(

Update after Day 2:

Day 2 was better. Mommy still cried a lot but Gavin slept more at daycare and the little chart they fill out for him each day had the "cheerful/happy" boxed checked. He had some tummy time, standing time, and played patty cake. So Gavin seems to be adjusting well, now we just need to get mommy to stop crying so much.

Update Day 3:

Mommy dropped off Gavin without crying! yay!

Visit to Grandpa's and GG's

Grandpa is pretty cool!
Standing with GG!
So tired! Gavin needed to nap while we were there but I had no place to put him so I just propped him up in the corner of Grandpa's recliner and he fell asleep. We added the controller for comic relief. :) He just needs a bottle of milk he will be set.

Solids with Daddy!

Daddy is so funny during mealtime!

Gavin likes to chase each spoonful of food with a fist. Kind of like how you chase a shot with a beer. :)

We let Gavin hold the bowl and spoon and he thought that was pretty cool till he jabbed the spoon to far into his mouth. oops!
